At FBCMO, we are striving to provide a Christ-centered worship service. One that honors and glorifies God as well as exemplifies the gospel each and every week.
From the Pastor Search Committee:
The FBCMO Pastor Search Committee wanted to provide our church family an update as to our activities. We want each of you to know that we are taking this responsibility you have all entrusted us with very seriously. Though the pandemic has tempered progress, we are still meeting weekly (via teleconferencing) and communicating regularly. To this point:
- We have unanimously elected officials, as indicated below by each member’s name.
- We are working with the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions to schedule a ‘Pastor Search Committee Training Class’ to further edify us as to this process and applicable procedures.
- We are researching relevant materials to gather as much knowledge as possible.
Though we have made progress, the primary focus to this point has been on prayer and preparation of our hearts. A Pastor Search Committee is completely ineffective without a complete saturation of prayer and reliance on the guidance of the Holy Spirit. As Paul routinely prayed for the early church, we ask for each of you to pray for us unceasingly, both individually and collectively, that we be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Though many unknowns lay ahead of us, we fortunately serve a Holy, Sovereign, and Righteous God who has had this all mapped out before the foundations of the universe.
FBCMO Pastor Search Committee,
* Alton King: Chairman
* Chris Hill: Recorder
* Nancy Dial: Social Coordinator
* Tim Stewart: Prayer Coordinator
* Johnathon Capps: Vice Chairman
We have had several calls about tithing. Many do not want to use the online giving nor do they want to send their checks and/or cash thru the mail. Even though the church office is closed and the secretaries are working from home, I will be coming into the office some during the week. If you would like to bring your check to the church or have me come by your house to pick up your tithe I would be willing to do so. Please just call me @205-910-9362 to schedule an appointment or to arrange pick-up
